Not Paying Taxes is the New Pink in Hollywood

by Minority Fortune

nasRapper Nas has been recently exposed by TMZ for avoiding property taxes to the tune of $2.5 million for the years of 2006 and 2007. At this point, a federal tax lien has been placed against his home. Should Nas avoid paying the lien, he could be in jeopardy of losing his home.

Nas isn’t alone. Actor Nicholas Cage has outdone him with an outstanding $6.2 million tax lien with the federal government. However, Cage claims that his fiscal irresponsibility is the fault of his previous business manager. This financial whirlwind has lednickcage to him selling multiple assets to pay on existing debts.

Unfortunately, we suspect more people will be revealed in time. What this reveals to us is that these individuals aren’t on top of their finances. These tax liens are the tip of the iceberg, perched on a mountain of irresponsible financial management. Nas and Nicholas, you’ve got to get it together! If your multiple luxurious mansions are a liability instead of an asset, then you need to let them go. Otherwise, you end up in the current mess that you’re in.
