The 80/20 Rule: What’s Your 20 Percent ?

by Minority Fortune

The Pareto Principle also known as the 80/20 rule was discovered by Vilfredo Pareto, an Italian economist. The rule states that 80% of your results come from 20% of one’s efforts. When you analyze behaviors and results from all different segments of your life, you’ll find many examples of this rule.

Examples:

• Only 20% of the files stored on your computer will ever be reviewed/ utilized.
• You’ll wear 20% of your wardrobe 80% of the time. (Think about all your expensive, evening outfits you never wear!!!)
• Only 20% of your work for the day produces 80% of your productivity.
• 20% of your chores & tasks take up 80% of your free time.

Think about each area in your life. Decide which ones are yielding the most results. Discover the actions behind these results. Reduce the menial tasks and expenses from your routine. Your efforts should be yielding powerful results for yourself. Have Pareto’s Principle work for you in your everyday life. You will come to find yourself being more productive!
