Clarity and Purpose: Owning Your Success

Two Components That Will Help You Own Your Success

Success reflects a destination. To get to a destination, you need to have a plan on how to get there. If you decided that you would spend your summer vacation in Barcelona, you would have to concoct a plan. While there are many different paths to get to Barcelona, you do have to choose one. Not only do you choose the path, you go with a purpose whether it’s to relax, conduct business, or experience Spanish culture. The same goes with success. You need to narrow down a path and have a purpose for doing so.

We came across another great Tony Robbins video on clarity and purpose. We’re in agreement that these are two powerful components to utilize if one is to arrive at the goals that they want to achieve. You need to know 1) how you’re going to get there & 2) why you want to go there. If you put those two things together, you’re moving in the right direction.

What happens if you decide against setting a concise direction for your life? Imagine if you randomly hopped on a ship at a port, with no idea where you were going. However, you knew that you wanted to get to Barcelona. You had no control over the ship’s destination or the duration of your time on the ship. Doesn’t make sense, does it? Yet, we sometimes navigate through our lives as such. We know where we want to go, but we don’t plan out how we’re going to get there.

Success like a destination can be mapped out with a linear path. Some may fear failures on the way, but they can be overcome. After all, we do it all the time throughout our daily living. Sometimes, flights are subject to delays, re-routing, and cancellations. However, the passengers usually adapt to the setbacks and arrive at their destination. Sometimes traffic jams or accidents cause us to reroute our path. The same applies with the path to success. If you plan with clarity and purpose, you will surely arrive safely at your destination!
